Now this was enjoyable to play. So unique, so intricate, you’ll spend months just going through a ‘portion’ of the game.

The story-line can’t be summarized well, since there are at least three different perspectives. A hired hand with a mysterious past, a national heroine who has her beliefs constantly questioned, and a young son of a chieftain who is seemingly caught in troubles beyond his abilities. What you do as one character will affect what happens with the others. Actions resonate on the land and people. You and your enemies are searching for  a sealed power. Your enemies want to destroy this power, your allies want to utilize the power, and your resolve will be tested to the very limit. Anyone who calls him/herself a fan of fantasy games and doesn’t play this has missed out on a classic.

Admittedly, the majority of the wild creatures you fight are weird and not worth the instant it takes to kill. That’s the only reason I didn’t give it a 10/10. It was a little aggravating to send my men, who were capable of killing dragons, against...bunnies holding blades, or grass with an attitude. Yeah, some are really that pathetic. Others are frustratingly difficult, like a single man-in-black capable of winning when the odds against him are six-to-one.
